How to order?

How to Order

There are four ways to place an order:

  1. Shop online from our vast supply of springs and parts. To find the items, you need to click on the menu above. If you are viewing on a desktop, click the appropriate hotspots on the garage door image, or scroll down and choose from the listed categories. From there, you can follow links to the specific part you need. You can also look for the part by entering a description or part number in the search box by clicking on the magnifying glass symbol.
  2. E-mail us by clicking Contact – DDM Garage Doors.
  3. Call us at (800) 383-9548 or (630) 293-1337.

We need the following information from you:

  1. Part number(s) or description, and quantity
  2. Shipping address and phone number.
  3. E-mail address.

After processing the order, we will e-mail you the invoice. If you would like to know the total price with shipping before ordering, please provide your state and zip code when contacting us. There are two payment options:

  1. We accept payment through Shopify's secure website using any major credit card. You do not need to set up an account with them to pay by credit card.
  2. If you prefer, you may pay with a check payable to DDM Garage Doors, Inc. at the address listed below.

Privacy Policy DDM Garage Doors, Inc. collects information provided by our customers, and sometimes we rely on public information to help accurately fill an order. We also use cookies to help process orders. Credit card information is received by our shopping cart on a secure website and by phone or fax; we discourage e-mailing credit card numbers. Credit card numbers, expiration dates, and security codes are shredded throughout the day after payments have been processed. Customer e-mail addresses, home addresses, and phone numbers are normally stored but not sold nor shared unless required by law. PLEASE NOTE: SHIPPING TIMES ARE NOT GUARANTEED, EVEN ON NEXT DAY AND SECOND DAY SHIPMENTS. NORMAL TRANSIT TIMES DO NOT APPLY.

DDM Garage Doors, Inc. ships parts to all 50 states and to most parts of the globe where normal distribution systems can deliver our products. For information about shipping outside the US, see our international page.

Our parts catalog items are priced for national and international distribution and are, thus, lower than what garage door repair companies charge for the same parts.

Office hours for parts orders are normally from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM Central Time Monday through Friday. Please use other means to contact us during off hours.

Customer Pickups are available at our warehouse which is located at 1092 Carolina Drive, Unit 5, in West Chicago, IL. Customers in Illinois and neighboring states are welcome to stop by and pick up parts instead of having them shipped. This allows for same-day do-it-yourself repairs. We do advise calling and having us check inventory first. Also, if you are picking up springs, we recommend you bring both springs or the measurements for both. There are no standard torsion springs. You can pay when you pick up the parts, or, if you prefer, you can order online and have the parts waiting for you when you arrive. Please note that if you come in from another state, and if you pick up parts here, you will be charged Illinois sales tax. The current rate here, subject to change, is 8.5 percent.

When will I get my order?

We will work quickly to ship your order. Typically, orders ship the same or the next day. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with tracking information. Delivery times vary depending on your location. If you have good UPS and FedEx delivery in your area, the usual transit time is between two and four days. Normal transit times are currently not guaranteed, even on next-day and second-day shipments.

What is the return policy?

Returns are limited to the following specific products for up to 60 days.

Torsion Springs. All the 1 3/4" ID, 2" ID, and 2 1/4" ID springs in our torsion spring database program are returnable.

Extension Springs. The only extension springs that are returnable are the 25" springs for seven-foot high doors and 27" springs for eight-foot high doors with lifts up to 300 pounds.

Dock Leveler Parts. Except for many of the lower-priced items, a 15% restocking fee will be charged.

The following products are not returnable.

Special order torsion springs including commercial and industrial springs with diameters over 2 1/4" and obsolete Bar Col and Crawford torsion springs with 1 13/16" and 1 25/32" inside diameters are not returnable.

Extension springs for doors over 8' high or that weigh more than 220 pounds are not returnable.

Self-Storage Roll-up Door Springs are not returnable.

One-Piece Single Panel Garage Door Extension Springs are not returnable.

Important! The customer pays for the original shipping as well as for shipping to return the product. The item must be in its original condition. In order to receive credit, the items must be returned to DDM Garage Doors, Inc., 1092 Carolina Dr. Suite 5, West Chicago, IL 60185, even if the products were shipped from one of our suppliers at a different location. If the customer refuses the shipment, the cost of returning the parts to our supplier and also to West Chicago will be deducted from the credit. If you are not sure whether your parts are returnable, please contact us first.

On your return label please include your order number so we can properly refund your payment after we receive the parts.

What discounts are available?

Military and Active First Responder Discount

Thank you for serving our country! We offer a discount for active duty or retired military, as well as for active first responders. The discount will be either 10% of the retail parts cost, or free shipping, whichever is less. To receive the discount, you must order over the phone from one of our customer service representatives. We're sorry for the inconvenince; we're currently working on software to allow you to take the discount on line. Please Note: Discounts cannot be credited after the order is placed. Thank you for your understanding!
