Customers ordering Clopay EZ-SET springs from DDM should be very careful when removing the old spring from the winder.

Below are sequenced pictures of how coins can be used to get the cone off the winder without damaging the plastic clips that hold the cone in place:

Next, insert two coins under the cone near the point it was loosened

Then, turn the winder clockwise until the other release point on the cone is accessible

Finally, carefully use a screwdriver to loosen the other release point, now visible
