For door industry professionals DDM has the Garage Door Torsion Spring Safe-T-Winder which winds springs with inside diameters up to 7 5/8." While the ATL winder becomes a permanent counterbalance fixture, this winder is reusable as it winds springs by mounting the winder to one end of the torsion shaft. It can also wind four or more springs simultaneously.
